Sam Peter KO's Oleg Maskaev For WBC Belt!

Sam Peter was winning the fight by 2 rounds up to the point where he caught Oleg Maskaev with a flurry of punches in round 6 and the referee waved off the fight. There were alot of good exchanges in the fight, with both fighters landing good, hard blows. Samuel did hit a few punches behind the head, which he is notorious for doing, yet no points were taken. Oleg was visibly frustrated by this. Regardless, the TKO stoppage was a result of crisp, legal blows, and we now have a new WBC champion Samuel Peter.

Now with Peter the WBC champion, Vitali is scheduled next to face him. But, much of the public wants to see Wladimir face Peter again and have a true heavyweight champion of the division. When asked after the fight whether he'd fight Wladimir next, he gave no clear reply, although Don King was vocal in Sam Peter knocking out Wlad if they met again. We'll have to see what happens in the coming weeks on who will be Sam Peter's next opponent....
