My Prediction

This one is a little hard. Barrett is a seasoned fighter who has a lot of experience and is good at spoiling fighters who are up-and-coming at heavyweight such as his last fight with Tye Fields.

David Haye on the other had is a gread cruiserwieght champion, but he has a lot of unknown variables at play on how he will handle a experienced heavyweight such as Barrett. How much power will carry over at heavyweight against a guy with a decent jaw? He did fight 1 heavyweight fight against Tomasz Bonin awhile back, but this was against a guy who I believe was severely overrated in the rankings at the time and whom got knocked down a few months prior against a fighter( Pavel Silvin) who had no fights at all 0-0-0!

But, the fight is taking place in the home crowd of Haye, so this is going to give him an edge, but not a major 1 because Monte is used to being the underdog and fighting in adverse situations. Youth is also on Haye's side, but I believe Barrett is going to be in the best shape he's been in for quite awhile so this isn't going to be a huge factor. Barrett is also more naturally fit for his weight than Haye, at least at this moment, and will have a physical size advantage.

I think this fight could be a upset. It's going to come down to a battle of chins. I think Haye is going to be surprised by Barrett's speed and power, and I think Barrett is going to be surprised by Haye's. I think Haye will land more punches on Barrett, but I don't think Haye will take Barrett's punches and I call an upset within 3 rounds, and a TKO/KO win for Barrett.

Again this was a hard one to call, but I'm going with who's tried and tested at heavyweight. I just don't think Haye's chin is good enough to take the power at heavyweight. But, we'll soon see!
