Haye vs. Wladimir Klitschko Set To Be Finalized

This is a new video courtesy of Setanta Sports, which has a interview with David "Hayemaker" Haye talking about the potential fight with current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko being almost finalized. If the fight goes through, it will be set for June 20th, 2009 at the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea, in London, United Kingdom.

Here is what Klitschko's (K2) manager Tom Loeffler said recently via e-mail about the terms of the contract:

“I can’t really share the terms, but what I can tell you is that we feel that the terms offered are very reasonable and Haye is getting an opportunity to fight for the Heavyweight Championship after only one fight as a heavyweight. Haye does bring UK TV money, and therefore we feel like we have offered better terms than any other boxer would receive for a voluntary defense for Wladimir. The only other alternative for Haye to fight for a title is against Valuev or Chagaev, they are both not as marketable as either Klitschko, and both Universum and Sauerland Event would require very substantial option terms.”
