Klitschko Tickets

Looking for boxing tickets for the heavyweight champion brothers and boxers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko?

Well I've found a couple different places you can go that offer tickets in multiple countries/languages. Most US online ticket companies don't have tickets for the Klitschko fights probably due to most of their fights being on European soil, but the following merchants do carry their tickets.

Option 1

The 1st is the World Ticket Shop which has been in business since 1995, and has served over 100,000 customers worldwide. All prices include VAT and they offer secure online ordering and an order guarantee. They have sites in English(UK based), Spanish, Italian, and French.

To check out this merchant's Klitschko Tickets in English go here, in Spanish go here , Italian go here, and French go here.

Option 2

The 2nd place that seems reputable and has been around for awhile that I found is Seatwave. They also have multiple language sites in English(UK based), Italian, Spanish, and German. They have been in business online for awhile, are Europes #1 ticket exchange, and offer ticket integrity which means they will refund you your money if you don't get your tickets on time for an event(evidently they offer this guarantee since it doesn't happen very often if at all).

To check out this merchant's Klitschko Tickets in English go here, in German go here, in Spanish go here, and in Italian go here.

Other Options

Now if one of Wladimir or Vitali's fights take place on American soil, there is a good chance you can get tickets online through a reputable US ticket provider such as TicketsNow, StubHub, or RazorGator.

Also, if you're planning your trip to a Klitschko fight and are looking for the best deal as far as the hotel, airfare, cars, and vacation packages, check out Priceline.com where you can can shop, compare, and select the final price in advance, and select the EXACT airline ticket, hotel brand, rental car agency, vacation package, or cruise that works best for you.

Klitschko Haye NYC Press Conference

Today was the New York City, NY and 3rd press conference for the heavyweight championship fight scheduled for June 20th between current champion Wladimir Klitschko(52-3, 46 KOs) and top ranked heavyweight David Haye(22-1, 21 KOs). Haye once again wore a t-shirt, like he has on the other press conferences, depicting Wladimir and his brother Vitali with their heads cut off and Haye holding their heads in the ring. Wladimir has promised to punish Haye for this in the ring.

Haye Quotes

I came out from the first bell and I throw bombs. That’s exactly what you’re going to get on June 20th. Just look at the way the tickets have sold, 47,000 in under two days. It’s not because people want to come see Wladamir jab all night long, hell no. I’m healthy, I’m happy, and I’m in my prime. This is my time to shine.

Klitschko Quotes

o be honest, I love to perform. That’s why I have so many fights. He’s laughing about my jab. Keep laughing. He will get a pizza face from this jab. I will knock him out in the 12th. I hope and I wish it will be the 12th. I will enjoy the press conference. At the press conference after the fight, I will make you eat your words and your t-shirt.

Over 50,000 tickets have already been sold so hurry and get your Klitschko Haye tickets while they are available. For information on tickets go here.

Valuev Chagaev Rematch

On May 30th Ruslan Chagaev and Nicolai Valuev will square on in a WBA heavyweight rematch to see who is the true WBA champion.

Ruslan Chagaev was the WBA champ but suffered an injury which gave Nicolai Valuev an opportunity to take the championship by defeating John Ruiz last August. Valuev won and became WBA champion while Chagaev remained WBA champion in recess.

In their 1st outing Chagaev won by decision, but Valuev feels he has what it takes to defeat Chagaev this time around. With the way Chagaev fought against Drummond, I wouldn't doubt if he could pull off the win.

Valuev Quotes

“I have been waiting for two years to make amends. Only a victory over Chagaev can put my mind at rest.”

“I know everything there is to know about Chagaev."

“This is the fourth time I am actually preparing for a fight with him. Now is the time to end all this confusion. There will only be one WBA heavyweight champion after May 30 – and that will be me.”

It should be noted that the WBA belt is the only major belt not held by the Klitschko's, and Vitali Klitschko has expressed great interest in facing the winner of this bout.

Klitschko Interview After London Press Conference

After the heated London press conference for the heavyweight championship fight between Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye, fightnews had a chance to interview the WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Hello Wladimir! After lots of offensive comments and a T-shirt with an image of him holding the severed heads of both Klitschko Brothers, what do you feel?

I am revolted! Believe me, he will answer to the Klitschko Family for everything. Both for the T-shirt and for his words. I don’t wish to spend the energy for trash talk as he is doing. I thought that gentlemen lived in England, but that’s not the case with Haye. I’m going to knock him out. I’m going to punish him all twelve rounds. I hope that he doesn’t fall too early.

If you feel he won’t last all twelve rounds, will you finish him early?

In the ring with this boy I will teach him good manners and how to conduct himself. What Haye does is a shame for boxing and sports.

You have studied the style of your opponent, what are his strengths?

We have a lot of information about David Haye. Together with my trainer Emanuel Steward we have thoroughly studied him. The strength of my opponent - is his mouth which in the ring I’ll make much less.

Where are you preparing for the fight?

In the Austrian mountains. I often prepare there for fights. There’s a good atmosphere, good air, everything that’s necessary for good preparation.

David Haye is not the official challenger for any of your titles. Why have you agreed to fight him?

After the constant provocations, he deserves to have his mouth shut. I’ll make a pizza and a chop of this person!

On the first day of sales of tickets, already thirty thousand tickets are sold.

I am very glad that in Germany I have a big army of fans, but I have been surprised by such strong ticket sales. I’m sure that with the rabid support of sixty thousand people I’ll gain a great victory and I can share the success with the fans. By the way, I’ve already attended a football match there with Schalke 04. The atmosphere is simply unbelievable! They presented me with a shirt with the number 20 as my fight takes place on June 20th and I’m an honorary team member.

Why didn’t the fight take place at the Stamford Bridge Stadium that is home to the Chelsea Football Club?

Ask Haye about it. He couldn’t come to an agreement with the Chelsea Football Club. I wanted to box in London. When it became known that the fight in England was unrealistic, my team decided to find one of the German stadiums. Our choice at once was Veltins Arena. This stadium can hold many fans and is a multi-functional venue. For me, it’s an honor to fight there. If there’s rain, in twenty minutes it’s possible to close the retractable roof.

Klitschko Haye Interview

Here's a recent video interview from Setanta Sports which interviews both David Haye and Wladimir Klitscho ahead of their WBO/IBF/IBO championship heavyweight bout on June 20th...

Klitschko Haye London Press Conference

Yesterday(April 20th, 2009) there was the 2nd press conference for the heavyweight championship fight between current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitshcko and former cruiserweight champion turned ranked heavyweight contender David Haye for their fight on June 20th. This press conference had a little more edge to it as both parties started to heat up a little. Here's what they had to say during the press conference..

Wladimir Klitschko Quotes

"When he tried to get this fight, the picture with my decapitated body was certainly below the belt but I swallowed it. But now he has the fight and I can’t understand why he continues these tricks. What example does it give children? This is shameful behaviour and I can’t understand it.

I chose David Haye not David Haye chose me. I have had three title defenses and I took this boy. Right now I see David Haye with a cut head of my brother (on a T-shirt). So I am asking what is going to be next? Are you going to cut my dad’s head or my mother’s head? Other family members? Maybe you will attack my religion, my race? This is over the edge. This is not about sport.

You listen to what I say, this guy is going to be punished. I will transform this person into a pizza face for 12 rounds, and in the 12th round I am going to knock him out. He will pay for it with pain in the ring, and after the fight at the press conference I’ll remind him of his words, and he will take back all the words and will apologize. I’m not going to use my energy on trash talk, it’s embarrassing. It casts a shadow on the sport."

David Haye Quotes

“I’ve received the reaction I wanted from him…All the shouting and screaming is necessary because people have to hear about the fight. I don’t care about good taste and I know some people may hate me. I’ll do what I have to do, including these silly little stunts. As long as people remember me as the best fighter in the world with bad taste I don’t care. In twenty years nobody will remember my T-shirt, everyone will remember that day when I knocked out Wladimir Klitschko.

“He doesn’t go in the ring to fight. He doesn’t give value for money. He’s embarrassing, everything he does in the ring is embarrassing. I want him to fight like a man, not run like a bitch. Stand and fight me Vladimir Bitchko! I’m going to smash his head in and he will be bleeding on the floor.

“He’s a big dude, has a decent jab and has a lot of physical tools but I will turn them against him. His jab, jab, grab tactics that he has been doing throughout his career, it’s not impressive, it won’t work against me. I will make him fight and he is a fighter who doesn’t like to fight.

“It’s going to be a changing of the guard on June 20…I’m faster and hungrier than any of the bums he has fought before. It will be a rude awakening for him. He will have to do the fight of his life or he’ll be leaving the ring on a stretcher.”

They will have a 3rd press conference in New York Tomorrow(April 23rd,2009).

Here is some video footage of the London press conference..

Klitschko Haye Press Conference

At the 1st press conference between current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and former cruiserweight champion turned top rated heavyweight contender David Haye on April 16th at the Veltins-Arena in Schalke, both had harsh words for each other. David Haye declared war on the Klitschko family and promises to beat both brothers while holding a picture of both brothers decapitated heads, while Wladimir promises to give Haye pain instead of knocking him out in the 1st round! Here are some quotes...

Haye Quotes

“I have declared war on the Klitschko family. First it will be Wladimir, then Vitali. On 20 June the war will begin. I am in my prime, my resume speaks for itself and I am not coming here to pick up a paycheck like the rest of his opponents. I will be here to show The Hayemaker is the best in the world.”

Klitschko Quotes

“My opponent is extremely brash. He’s a young man who can’t yet control his emotions. I will give him a lesson on how to rein in his emotions in the ring on June 20….I actually planned to knock him out in the first round, but now I will do it in the twelfth round so I can enjoy the process!”

In a similar quote Wladimir said, "That is terrible. It's unspeakable, it's impudent. I am going to give him a lesson in good behavior. First, I wanted to knock him out in the first round. But now I want to make it a long process and I want to enjoy it, and then I will knock him out in the 12th round.”

Bonte Says Haye Contract Claims Are False

In a recent interview with Setanta Sports, Wladimir Klitschko's promoter Bernd Bonte says that the contract allegations stated by David Haye are false. Bonte also talks about the venue and how many people can fit at the location(70,000), and why he thinks he can sell so many tickets(Klitschko popularity in Germany, the Klitschko/Haye chemistry, Haye's flashy personality).

Klitschko Holds The Cards

This is a short video from Setanta Sports where they talk about how Wladimir Klitschko is holding all the cards as far as money, venue, and promotion coming into his fight with David Haye but rightfully so since he is the recognized #1 in the heavyweight division.

Haye Makes Fun Of Klitschko Contract

David Hayemaker was recently interviewed live on Setanta Sports and talks about how he is going to go to Germany and blitz Wladimir Klitschko and not just assume he'll win on points, and how he think the contract is ridiculous in that he has to fight a rematch with Wladimir or his brother Vitali twice if he were to win on June 20th against Wladimir. It should be noted that the allegations in this video are coming from Haye and are not verified as fact.

Bernd Bonte Talks About Venue For Klitschko Haye

In this live video interview courtesy of Setanta Sports, Klitschko's manager Bernd Bonte discusses the venue for the June 20th heavyweight championship matchup between current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and former cruiserweight champion turned ranked heavyweight contender David Haye.

The venue will be at the at the Veltins Arena in the German city of Gelsenkirchen which is the stadium to the famous German football club Schalke 04 and can hold 65,000 people.

Dimitrenko Talks About Povetkin

Current WBO #1 mandatory Alexander Dimitrenko(29-0, 19 KOs) recently answered a few short questions about what he thought about the IBF's #1 mandatory Alexander Povetkin's (17-0, 12 KOs) last fight with Jason Estrada(15-2, 3 KOs) and a potential mantchup between him and Povetkin on April 21st for the vacant EBU title and double mandatory for the current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko(52-3, 46 KOs).

What can you say about the performance of Povetkin?

“Povetkin didn’t impress me in that fight. He didn’t have a good fight. Many others see it the same way as I do.“

What wasn’t good about it?

“It wasn’t on a world class level. He still has to train much more if he wants to fight for the world title. He had problems from the very beginning although his opponent was a no-name fighter. When Estrada got tired by the end Povetkin still couldn’t knock him out. That has surprised me. His opponent was much smaller than him and I believe if he wants to fight against Wladimir Klitschko he should face taller fighters like me.“

The purse bid for the Euro title clash is on April 21?

“Yes, that’s correct. But I’m hoping that he won’t avoid me and fight other opponents in order to challenge Wladimir in a world title fight. The EBU has made this decision for the fight. Povetkin provoked Klitschko verbally but he has to prove his quality inside the ring. He has this chance when he fights me I’m ready. My trainer Fritz Sdunek and I have taken a close look into the fight.“

Povetkin Ready For Klitschko?

Apparently after going a full 10 rounds with the light fisted Jason Estrada, #1 IBF heavyweight challenger Alexander Povetkin feels he's ready current IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Povetkin Quotes

“I finally want to accomplish my dream and fight [Klitschko]. It will be a completely different fight from today because Klitschko is much bigger and not as fast as Estrada. I still have to improve a few areas of my game but I am ready for him. I cannot wait for the fight to happen.”

Wilfried Sauerland Quotes

*Povetkin's manager talks about the last fight..
“Had this fight lasted only a little longer, Povetkin would have stopped Estrada. After his injury it took him a little time to find his rhythm, but we are pleased with his comeback. He has not fought for a long time, so this was a good test.”

Estrada Quotes

“He is a strong boxer. I think it was a close and a very good fight. I had expected him to be a little more aggressive, so I had to change my game plan. I tried to jab more but he took it away from me.”

Sorry Alexander, but you will never be ready. Unless you are talking strictly a payday, Wladimir has too much in his favor going into this bout.

In my opinion, any advantages than Povetkin has will be easily nullified by Wladimir while his weaknesses will easily be exploited.

For example I believe Povetkin's strong points are his confidence, good inside combinations, and work rate. Povetkin is not nearly fast enough on his feet to get inside of Wladimir to work his combinations he needs , and the constant pressure will only work if he hopes Wladimir will get tired. But, coming into his several last fights Wladimir has shown excellent conditioning. By round 5 if there is one, Povetkin's confidence will be out the window. Now on to his weaknesses.

Coming into this fight Povetkin has many weaknesses. The most obvious is that he is going to be at a severe height, reach, and size disadvantage. He is also very susceptible to being hit, especially by right hands which Wladimir throws harder than anyone in the business. Povetkin also does not have very good power in his punches. He does have a fairly good KO percentage but all of his good opponents have been mainly smaller heavies with light punching ability(Byrd, Chambers, Estrada) who lost due to Povetkin's constant pressure and work rate catching up with them.

So what you have here is a very confident guy who does not like to lose and who is going to be alot smaller and not quick enough on his feet to get in on Wladimir(even if he does get in does not have enough power to bother Wladimir) who is going to eat the heaviest hands he's ever been hit with as he tries to get in on him. So either the fight will be stopped, a KO will happen, or if Povetin is extremely stubborn and pushes on way further than he should, a serious career ending injury may occur. Povetkin in my opinion is the perfect type of fighter for Wladimir to face. If they do fight I think this will be one of Wladimir's easiest fights he's had for awhile.

Meehan Wants Valuev Fight

#1 ranked WBA contender Kali Meehan(35-3, 29 KOs) said recently that he believes he deserves a shot at Nicolai Valuev's(50-1, 34 KOs) title especially after hearing that Valuev is looking at a voluntary defense. Here's what Meehan had to say:

“Nikolay Valuev has to fight me now, if he wants to have one more voluntary defense. I’m ready to fight him on May 30th. I’m the WBA #1, so I should be the mandatory, but it doesn’t matter to me if I’m the mandatory or not as I’m confident of a victory. Not only a victory, but a KO victory! I will do to him what I did to DaVarryl Willamson. Valuev is scared to face me and so is his promoter Wilfried Sauerland. My promoter Don King is negotiating with the WBA, to give me this fight. I wish to give the boxing fans the fights they want to see. At the moment there is a lot of fat, lazy big men, tired after three rounds, and it’s killing our sport. Fight me Valuev, face me in the ring! I leave this in God’s hands.”

Haye Confirms Klitschko Fight

This is a live video interview with David Haye where he confirms his heavyweight championship fight with Wladimir Klitschko.

Alot, of what Haye says is just total fluff. It should be noted that Wladimir fought a prime Barrett and Haye fought a over-the-hill version. Chris Byrd came to fight twice. So did McCline, Brock, Thompson, etc. Haye has only 2 fights in heavyweight against nobody the size, power, experience, or level of Wladimir. Haye will be shocked when his tactics fail him when he actually sees this man in front of him.

Haye Talks About Upcoming Klitschko Fight

This is a new video showing David Haye talking about his upcoming fight with Wladimir Klitschko and how he feels he will be too much for Wladimir because he has spent his whole life training for this fight and will take advantage speed and timing. He says he has never lost to a eastern European fighter.

I do think a fighter with good angles and speed can give Wladimir problems, but there's a big difference between the Wladimir that fought Sanders and the present day one. I think the size difference by itself will make a huge difference and Haye has no idea what he's getting himself into!

Klitschko Haye Is Official!

Negotiations are finally over and its official that the current IBF/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko will defend his titles in Germany on June 20th, 2009 against former cruiserweight champion turned heavyweight contender David "Hayemaker" Haye. The venue will be at the Veltins Arena in the German city of Gelsenkirchen. Looking For Tickets? Go here.

Bernd Bönte Quotes

*Managing Director of Klitschko Management Group

"I am glad that these extremely difficult and long negotiations are over and we are able to present the fight that boxing fans all over the world want to see. Both Wladimir and David are known as superb punchers and a fight over 12 rounds will be very unlikely to happen. It is going to be an unforgettable spectacle. The venue of the fight will be announced soon.“

Wladimir Klitschko Quotes

"I am used to being attacked by my opponents before a fight. But David is top of the list of crudity. He has to pay the bill for it and I promise it will be painful."

David Haye Quotes

"Klitschko’s last opponents were cowards. I will knock him out and take his belts to my hometown London. And that is not all: I will also go and get Vitali’s belt! None of them can stop me. The new World Heavyweight Champion will soon be David Haye!."

The fight will be shown by RTL in Germany, Setanta in England, and HBO in the U.S. Stay tuned for more information. If your looking for tickets, you can get your tickets here.

“It just was not my day. I did not perform well. But I feel much more comfortable as a pro. I never really liked the way of fighting and scoring in the amateur system.”

Valeri Belov Quotes

*Povetkin's coach on Estrada

Chambers Wants Title Shot After Peter Win

After defeating former WBC heavyweight champion Samuel Peter, "Fast" Eddie Chambers(34-1, 18 KOs)feels confident that he's ready to take on all champions at heavyweight.

“When you defeat a big heavyweight and one who recently held a world title, it feels good to have earned my opportunity to go for one of the world titles.”

“I have worked long and hard to get there and I’m determined to be better next time out and win the heavyweight championship when I get my title shot. I am ready to take on any of the champions.”

Manager and new trainer since Chamber's loss to Povetkin Rob Murray, Sr., had this to say about what he thought of Chambers performance and his chances against other title holders..

“I was pleased with Eddie’s performance especially given that it was against a guy who was one fight removed from being champion of the world. And more importantly, against a guy whose only two losses were to current champions of the world, the Klitschkos, Wladimir and Vitali. Of course I would have loved to see Eddie KO Peter, but only Vitali holds that distinction. So yes, I am pleased with the decision victory. Now we’ll go back and work on the combinations using the right hand, which he hurt during the fight.”

“We now want to fight anybody, whether they are a Ukrainian, a Russian, a German; anyone who has one of the four belts. We’ve beaten Calvin Brock, Dominick Guinn, Raphael Butler, Derric Rossy, and now Samuel Peter. These guys aren’t chopped liver! Eddie’s taken on every challenge with guys that can fight. We have gotten him into contention to fight for the heavyweight championship of the world, the Holy Grail for us, and ‘Have Fight Will Travel.’”

“Get ready for Eddie to show the World the modern day David against Goliath battle.”

Sorry, but Chambers would have no chance against the Klitschko's except the chance of the best payday of his life.

#1 ranked IBF contender Alexander Povetkin(16-0, 12 KOs), who is confident of a win over Jason Estrada this coming Saturday April the 4th, says he most definitely wants current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko after he defeats Estrada. This is what he had to say:

“When I twisted my ankle back in October, I didn´t think it was a big issue at first. But the doctor´s diagnosis then was a huge blow for me. However, I have put the injury past me. I am back at 100 percent and don’t have any problems with my left foot any more..”

“I am only thinking about Saturday. Estrada is on my mind. Once I have beaten him, I want to fight Wladimir Klitschko.”
