Milton LaCroix Picks Chambers Over Klitschko

Most experts are giving this an easy win for Wladimir and the odds tell the same tell as well. But, there is one expert boxing trainer named Milton LaCroix that does not think the same as the others. He is New York's famous boxing trainer who most recently salvaged Shannon Briggs’s career(according to the source). He also was the main character in Robert Anasi’s well-regarded 2002 boxing novel ‘The Gloves”. Here's what LaCroix had to say:

“If Eddie was a little taller I don’t think he would have any problems with Wladimir. Eddie is faster, smarter and slicker. All Chambers has to do is frustrate Klitschko with head movement and footwork. Chambers should score points with pitty pat punches and move in and out. Chambers should use side-to-side movement then shoot shots down the middle, especially the jab to the body. Most important will be for Chambers to frustrate Klitschko with his jab. If Chambers can’t frustrate Klitschko than he will have problems with Klitschko’s 1-2. If Klitschko wins then everyone will say that he is invincible, but he isn’t. Klitschko is like a scared cat that swings his way out of a corner when he is pressed. Klitschko always seems to fight scared even when he is winning. There are guys out their with the ability to beat him but they have to want to be the King. Most of the guys Klitschko has fought have only fought him for the money. Being second best as the Queen is good but it’s better to be the King because the Queen always ends up on her back. Klitschko really doesn’t have a great chin and he cuts. Chambers has a shot at pulling off the upset. They don't call him "Fast" Eddie Chambers for nothing.”



Well it's nice to get someone elses opinion, but the guy is a little to harsh on Wladimir's skills and too lenient on Chamber's abilities in my opinion. I still think at the very least Chambers is going to be 1 punch away from a TKO/KO. Wladimir has that kind of power and is more accurate with his power than anyone he has faced in the pros. I think Wladimir will keep his range and eventually will start to land after Chambers movement starts to fade after round 4.
